Say goodbye to anxiety for good.

Anxiety Counseling for Young Adults & Teens

If you’re here, it’s likely that you or someone you love is struggling with anxiety. I’m here to help.

Anxiety can touch every part of your life: work, school, friendships, hobbies, sleep, sex, and more. Anxiety can also create a feeling of being disconnected from yourself, your own body, and from others, ultimately leading to depression. Often, people are confused as to why they experience such debilitating or pervasive symptoms of anxiety. You may feel like you’re stuck with this constant worry. You may feel like you’ve tried everything, and the cycle is just never-ending.

I assure you that there is a way out of this. Whether your anxiety is specific to certain situations like socializing or if it’s general and always present, I assure you, there is a way to overcome it. And, I’m fully committed to helping you get there.

By integrating traditional talk therapy with somatic approaches, I will help you bring your mind and body back into harmony so you can not only manage anxiety, but overcome it. Thankfully, we know more than ever before about the human nervous system and how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors impact each other. I use effective modalities that have brought incredible results to clients just like you. Research shows that just trying to change your thoughts isn’t always enough. If you’ve gone to therapy in the past and have felt discouraged by a lack of results, somatic and experiential therapies may be a better fit for you.

Your history and what you’ve been through may also play a factor in your experience of anxiety. Even if you feel you haven’t experienced anything traumatic, we all experience social learning that may impact how we see ourselves and the world. Often, anxiety is lingering in the present because there are things going unaddressed about the past. No matter the cause, I will work with you to determine what is keeping you stuck. In addition to providing a safe space for you to talk, I offer experiential therapies such as internal family systems, body-mind psychotherapy, dance therapy, and nervous system regulation techniques to shift your body’s response to stress, process the past, and change your relationship with your thoughts from the inside out.

Every person is different, so I will meet you exactly where you are and go at your pace. I will always check in with you before suggesting experiential therapies to make sure you fully understand and feel comfortable with the process. There is never pressure to try a certain modality in a session. Your comfort is key. I see therapy as a collaborative process in which you are the expert of your own life. I am here to guide, provide tools, and offer a supportive space. Together, we will create a plan to move you from pervasive anxiety to truly thriving.

Anxiety can show up in a number of ways. For some people, it can look like perfectionism or over-functioning. For example, always being in over-drive, ruminating, thinking a million miles an hour, and having a hard time resting. For others, it can be debilitating - your mind is racing, but your body is frozen and you might find yourself scrolling or dissociating. It may only show up in interactions with others, or in certain circumstances like travel or giving a presentation. Regardless, know that you’re not alone, and whatever you’re experiencing makes sense in the context of your life.

With me, you can expect an open, non-judgmental space to bring your whole self. There is no wrong thing to think or feel in my office - all is welcome. I understand that sharing about your most intimate thoughts and feelings is vulnerable, and my primary goal is that you feel safe and comfortable throughout the process.

Are you ready to start your journey of breaking free from anxiety? If so, I would love to talk with you. Set up a free consultation call. Remember, you don’t have to face this alone.
